The Madsen Group began its journey as a small diesel shop on the harbourfront in St. John’s in 1963, where E.W. Madsen opened his doors to the local marine industry. Mr. Madsen had been trained as a machinist in Denmark before emigrating to Canada in 1928 and worked in the marine service industry for many years before settling in Newfoundland.
Mr. Madsen’s focus on customer satisfaction and high-quality workmanship quickly earned the loyalty of customers throughout the province and the region. Major fuel injection manufacturers of the day such as Bosch, Lucas, CAV, Bryce, L’Orange, and Roosa Master recognized the importance of a strategically located shop offering quality and service by granting the company status as an authorized service centre for their products.
Diesel Injection Sales and Service a été renommée Madsen Group en 2015 afin de mieux représenter la diversité et l’expertise de ses entreprises.
Cependant, chacune des entreprises repose sur les solides valeurs établies par E.W. Madsen en 1963 : des gammes de produits haut de gamme, un travail de qualité et un excellent service.
